   I think Rebmastu spoke a little soon with the whole “on hold” thing, especially about SEDS, since she’ll be finishing vol 8 before her break. But like she said, it’s on hold, not dropped! She’s just getting burned out on Slayers, and if it’s not dropping this, it’s dropping everything, so cut her a little slack and let her take a break from just those two series for a little while, alright guys?

   Also, I’m going to note for future reference, that SEDS’s post vol 8 hold status doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re actually going to translate the first 7 volumes. I’d rather we didn’t, but being the translator, it’s up to her.

   I’ll second this, but I think it’s more important that our translators have fun with what they’re translating. They’re doing us a huge service, here, and I don’t want them feeling burnt out. :)

   I love all the Slayers stories and I’m so glad it’s back after all these years!!! I check Turtle Paradise daily just for Slayers updates. I hope you’re able to find time in the future to translate the rest of SEDS. Thanks, Turtle Paradise, for all your hard work ^_^

   Take your time Rebmastu, a little Slayers manga at longer intervals is a lot better then no Slayers manga at all. :) I do hope you will translate all series someday, but all at once did seem a bit too much to me. Thanks for the chapter.

   Sorry, didn’t mean for the comment to sound pushy, that wasn’t my intent at all! ^_^;

   I completely support taking a break, especially when burnt out on something. I was more just trying to show that there WAS interest in these series, and my hope that they don’t get abandoned completely as so many good things do. You guys are amazing for doing what you do!

   If you’re burnt out on Slayers, I would suggest NOT translating (at least for now) SEDS vol. 1-7, as they can still be acquired easily enough in English if you look for them (except for #4… for some reason I can’t seem to find it anywhere while there seem to be an abundance of the rest… don’t know why…). I mean, in a matter of 3 weeks I found and purchased all the volumes (sans #4).

   Instead, however, prior to this announcement, I was gonna ask if you guys had any plans to translate the other new Slayers manga (Hourglass) at all or anytime soon, but now I’m going to assume based on the comments, the short answer would be “No”. However, if that was a considered project, I, for one, would LOVE to read it… as there is no English media to date with Luke and Milina in it. I wanna get to know those characters better!

   So glad your scanner’s back up! I’ve been anxious ever since I bought my Asuka the other week or so to find out precisely what they were saying in the latest DNAngel chapter~! (Benkyou! Benkyou!) I won’t spoil it, but I think fans will be pleased!

   Actually, the funny thing about Hourglass is that it’s on our OH HELL YES list. We were actually importing Legends to do this, but when we found that the volume release date was so soon, we decided to instead wait for that to be released and we could get super HQ scans out.

   As for the Slayers series, it’s a little more complicated. Of course we intend to finish Aqualord (both of us being big fans), but the problem is actually with Tommy Ohtsuka’s drawing style, or rather, editing it. He has this horrible habit when doing two-page spreads, where he actually neglects to draw in large portions of the picture on each page, making it really difficult to make an appealing edit job. It’s really just a hard one to do.

   The bigger problem, of course, is Revolution. Both of us were really nuts for the quirky style of it at first, but Rebmastu’s been irritated (and complaining a lot) by the irritating stock dialogue. This bleeds through a little in this chapter, but because it’s a fight scene it’s alright, I guess =P There’s no point in dropping it right now either, since we’re at the end of the arc. I think the biggest factor will be in whether the continuation will be a new series or not, or if it’s picked up by fansubbers. So who knows.

   Light Magic is just awesome. Seriously. It’s another one that’s on a pseudo-on-hold thing until the volume comes out. Just awesometastic.

    I’m confused about the “lack of interest” statement as well. Didn’t the last poll you all had up prove the HUGE interest in the Slayers SEDS series? Not to mention that most other manga here can be found translated by other groups, but nobody else is translating Slayers stuff (mainly due to lack of raws). That basically makes you all the “go-to” group for all Slayers Scans. If nothing else, would you mind uploading the SEDS and other Slayers raws so that another group might be able to pick it up if you do drop it (and I know it’s tentative)?
