I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but the oncoming threat of finals week always prevented me from taking care of it; that is to say, finals week is over and I’ve got no excuse to keep people from hating me anymore! That’s right, as you can assume from the title, we’ll be removing DNAngel from our site starting next week. As we’ve explained numerous times before, we’re not in competition with Tokyopop, and we don’t want any of our releases treated as a substitute for a professional work. So I urge you leeches to stop freeloading and buy volume 12 when it’s released on August 11th! Any requests for download links after the chapters are removed will be deleted, and repeat offenders will eventually be banned.

that’s to bad to hear, since in my country they dont release so much manga so we have to rely on what we can find on the internet or import from USA which costs alot… you say that dnangel is released 11th august… good for you, we have to wait for more than a year after tokyopops release for its release here(then when it does ofcourse i buy it!) but its so sad that we have to wait so long.. :/

I’m sorry to hear that, but we need to cover our backs, too. The general rule of thumb when scanlating is to try not to step on the toes of the publishers- after all, it all goes back to funding the original author, and if people are busy downloading online instead of purchasing the books, the author gets absolutely nothing out of the deal. The last thing we want to see is the industry suffering at the hands of scanlators, so hopefully you can understand our sentiments. We’re also liable for legal ramifications if we get the publishers too angry. We’re doing this for fun and to spread the word to people who normally wouldn’t be able to read these titles that may or may not be released in other parts of the world. I’ve ranted a little bit, but that’s our reasoning behind the move. Besides, we hadn’t intended to release any more chapters of DNAngel for starters, no more were released and there’s still plenty of time before we remove them, so there’s no reason to get so upset about it.

Does this mean you are completely dropping the series? That is to say on the off chance more chapters come out in the near future (I know, who are we kidding, but work with me here), would you do those and release them on the blog like once mentioned?

Sorry, buddy, but that’s a resounding negative. I already feel bad enough about wasting my time doing the past two volumes, sooooooo…. No, we won’t be doing DNAngel any more, even if Sugisaki decides to release anything else (which I doubt she will anyway. =\ Well, not for another two years or so, anyway. =X)

Its dropped!!

Here in my country still stuck in volume 10
and I hear the publisher (in my country) dropped it!!

I like this series
I like the art works so much
But This is just to long to wait!!
