With our massive Shouoto and Lost Universe blowout yesterday, Rebmastu mentioned our current financial predicament involving the domain name renewal… And you guys stepped up to the plate. Hard. I mean it, that goal was knocked square out of the park, and I am totally baffled by how amazing you all are. I really don’t even know how to thank you guys ;_; We currently have nearly $90 in the pot (so to speak), meaning not only has the domain renewal fee been paid, but now we’re also able to pay for last month’s issues of Aria and Asuka, which… okay, I’ll admit it, we’ll be lucky if anywhere still has them in stock OTL But thanks to you guys, we still have a shot at getting current content!

So this is where I’ll open the floor for comments. I can’t make any guarantees, but what series do you guys want to see us release? Is it Barajou? Birdcage Manor? SLH? Junketsu+Kareshi? Mebius Gear? Lost Universe? Flower Thieves? Or perhaps some new projects? Like I said, I can’t make any guarantees, but this is a good place to let your comment be heard if you’re really itching for something =D

There’s not much these days that I hate more than a late release, but oh man, this week. Lucky sevens my ass! Reb’s computer is now a s’more, and I’ve got my computer on the operation table (i.e., my desk) acting as her hard drive’s reverse life support, sucking the juice out of it because ;lakfdj. Hopefully productivity won’t go down the hole because of this, but I’m not making any promises. I mean, we’re sharing a computer for now (new computer? On this budget?! HAHAHA, NO) and I sure as hell can’t scan while she’s translating! Oh well, forget about that now- it’s (a kind of late if we’re going EST) release time!

To clarify, yes, Haruto is the YELLOW rose. If you read the translation notes, you’d see that Schwartz was just being poetic in his choice of words. This fact was evident in the original Japanese, where the passage had both a “phonetic” [literal] reading as well as an “implied” meaning, a feature common to the language. (Schwartz originally calls Haruto the “Golden Rose”, the implied meaning being the “Yellow Rose.”)

Also, the donation button has been added back to the site, so if anyone has been itching to give us some money, there’s that =P. Seriously though, we’re working out the kinks right now, but there are plans for goodies for those who donate; something along the lines of raffles with prizes being stuff like manga volumes and, well, goodies. Donations are working a little differently from before too, since instead of going straight to the server, donations will also fund the projects we release, which should be pretty epic, considering that we’re paying upwards of $100 a month to do this scanlation thing. What can I say, we love this stuff. =p I’ll be writing out a more in depth post after we get the kinks worked out, so stay tuned! And in case anyone was wondering, those of you who have donated in the past will be eligible for any prizes we give away right off the bat.
