So after another million billion years (to which I’d like to say wtf is our problem), we finally, FINALLY have finished Falces, and homg is it ever amazing. If you haven’t read it yet, well, the reader gives you one hell of a fabulous opportunity. DO IT NOW. OR ELSE. And speaking of readers, you can now navigate from page to page using the left and right arrow keys! HURRAY FOR PROGRESS! Melly’s been doing a lot of backend work too, so… Yeah. It’s pretty much awesome.

Baseless and (nonthreatening) threats aside, we also have a new chapter of Larry Trigger Light Magic for you. HOLY CRAP, you say, YOU’VE ONLY KEPT US WAITING SINCE NOVEMBER. And, uh, I didn’t even know about that until I cracked open the old credits page to change it for this chapter. Boy, do I feel like an asshole. I’M SORRY GUYS, WE’LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME… Hopefully.

Even Larry Light is touched!

In celebration of both our 100th release, and as thanks for the numerous donations we’ve had from you Slayers fans out there, we’ve prepared a bit of a treat for you! This week, we finish up volume five of Aqua Lord (only one volume left!), bring you chapter two of Falces (long overdue, but take a look at the massive amounts of text in that! By the way, if you’ve never read the novels, you’re in for a treat in the form of SMART Gourry. That’s right, he’s not a myth!), and chapters one through three of Larry Trigger Light Magic. Enjoy!

To elaborate on the donations bit, when we announced that Turtle Paradise was in need of donations when we released chapter eight of Barajou, we received no, count ‘em, zero donations. When we asked for donations with the latest chapter of Aqualord, we pulled in a whopping $20! So Slayers fans, this mega release is for you in thanks for your generosity. We wouldn’t be here if not for your support!

Good lord, you’d better have a good excuse for this….

Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have a good excuse for this! Oh, wait, YES I DO – I BLAME FINALS. Well, Melly blames finals. Hey, there’s no way in hell I’d release something this big (and yes, it’s BIG) without getting it QC’d first!

Anyway, I know there are a few people out there who have been looking forward to this release (and some very openly dreading it…) but I’d like to give everyone a fair warning before they download this: This is a mature Slayers title, more in-line with the darkness of the original novels; there’s extremely graphic violence, swearing (at Melly’s behest, of course – “Luke seems like he’d have a dirty mouth!”), and implied sexual situations of the non-con sort later on in the book. AND YES, THERE’S T&A, GEEZE, GET OVER IT ALREADY. That said, it’s one of the better things we’ve seen come from the recent boom in Slayers material lately (both in terms of art and story), PLUS Luke and Millena, so if you think you’re up for it, then download at will!

That said, this series is incredibly visually intense, so we really do need editors so that we can continue on with the next chapters in a timely fashion. The editor test over on our recruitment page uses pages from chapters 2, 3, and 4 as the basis for the test, so please give it a shot if you have the time.

And on that note, expect another release later tonight! It’s not Slayers related though, sorry guys. )= Oops, I lied. Make that sometime tomorrow morning, or something. xP

Where am I, and what are all you people doing here!?

I keeed. Anyway, Reb here, figured I’d stop by and give everyone a heads-up on what kind of progress we’ve been making with our projects around here, new and old alike.

First off, Barajou no Kiss! As you can probably tell by the header (♥), volume one is officially OUT! What does this mean for you? New chapters, and HELLA FAST! I won’t give an exact timeline, but it’ll probably be waaaay sooner than you think. x3 On that note, the volume came with romanizations for the main cast and their names…. Specifically, Agnes is no longer Agnes – she is now “Anis!” ……………………YEAH, ABOUT THAT. Methinks Shouoto-sensei forgot an “E” in there. =X Either way, we’ll be calling her “Anise” from now on, sorry about the confusion. x3 Also, we have an official English title! Barajou no Kiss is now “Kiss of [the] Rose Princess!” Yeah, we’ll be adding a “the” in there, as well.

Secondly, I’ve been working non-stop on Slayers: Hourglass of Falces for some time, so we hope to have the first chapter out in short order.

Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku will be moving to a volume-only release after the end of the Iruel arc. What does this mean for you, the readers? For one, we won’t be working off of Asuka’s terrible page quality, so no more monthly releases. Instead, we’ll be waiting until the full volume is released (which will be in about four months for us) and release A WHOLE BUNCH OF CHAPTERS at a time. This makes it easier for me to translate as well; since I’ll be able to read a whole bunch in advance, I won’t have to guess at a bunch of vague dialogue. In other words, BETTER TRANSLATION QUALITY! Again, we won’t be moving to a volume-only release until Iruel’s arc is over. On that note, what will we be doing with Datenroku in the meantime? About that…. Well, I’m embarrassed to admit that the first few chapters were riddled with translation errors on my half (just look at how the first chapter contradicts with recent events!), so I’ll be going back and re-doing the series from the volume scans. Yippee, quality!

And the burning question I’m sure everyone is asking themselves….. Peas and rice, TP, why the HELL haven’t you released anything lately!?
