Scanlating Resources
« on: June 26, 2010, 01 PM »
Rebmastu has made the habit of including helpful links in the application threads, but such information isn't only newbie relevant; heck, no one knows everything there is to know about scanlating, and for years other scanlators have been posting their advice to forums for the benefit of its readers. Since we're, y'know, nearly incapable of coming up with such A+ material on our own, this thread seems necessary to serve as a collective of the useful links that we have come across over the years. If you come across any sites or forum posts, feel free to reply with them!

Proofreading
Franky House - Proofreading 101: For idiots who think just knowing the English language is enough - Kind of wordy, but good for starting out
Manga Toshokan - Dr. Pepper's 23 Tastes - More about rewording, a bit easier to digest than the previous.

If you haven't joined our crew or taken any of the tests, take note that we split the editing process into the cleaning and typesetting stages, and have different tests and positions as such. I know it's historically one
