Title:Barajou no Kiss (Kiss of the Rose Princess)
Author: Shouoto Aya (硝音あや)
| Status: Chapter 32: in QC |
Summary:
Most girls are crazy about jewelry, but not Anis Yamamoto. Not since her father gave her a rose choker as a child, claiming it was a protective amulet which would safeguard her from harm; however, if she ever took it off (a feat easier said than done!), she would be afflicted by a “punishment” of some sort- not like it matters to her, since the attention it attracts around school from faculty and students alike isn’t something she’s particularly fond of. But after a certain incident causes the choker to disappear, she realizes that this punishment her father spoke of might have been a bit more than she bargained for!

@LittleStar
No series or chapter can be given a direct time frame. It’s finished when it’s done, and to name each action to a time is to set a precedent for activity that casual readers will feel the group is beholden to maintain, which puts an undue amount of stress on the members involved.
That said, please do not take Non8′s comment to be an indication of our working process or expect us to hold to that working schedule or any variation thereof.

@LittleStar @rebmastu
Of course, I meant that it’s done when it’s done.
I just simply did as little as to basically measure the time it could take – IF THE PEOPLE WORKING ON IT DID IT WITHOUT A BREAK.
But basically, the more motor nerves the scanlator has the faster it’s done.
That is, not to forget that even scanlators have real life and scanlating does not take priority so readers can’t expect that scanlators will forsake their life for the purpose of releasing new chapters.
FAN SCANLATORS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL WORKERS FOR MANGA PUBLISHING COMPANIES, WHO ON THE OTHER HAND ARE PAID TO BRING NEW MANGA TO READERS.
And I am thankful for any scanlators there are for taking their precious time to provide the fruit of their work to us readers.
Having a little patience is all that reader needs to have (Not having patience is understandable only if doctors said that you’re going to die in less than a year. Wanting to finish reading series you like before you die is an acceptable excuse. LoL).

I know in advance I’m going to sound incredibly rude here, but even if someone had a pressing reason to need a chapter, we still wouldn’t be able to come close to the timeframe you mentioned there. I know you had the best of intentions and I understand your approach, but every member of Turtle Paradise is in school – the vast majority are both employed and in college, and several of us (myself included) hold more than one job. I would love to be able to release a chapter every two weeks, but unfortunately, the schedule you outlined simply isn’t feasible for us. Oh, how I wish it was!
Of course, I’m only saying this because inevitably there are going to be some people who take your comment at face value. I don’t want to contradict-just explain our situation before anyone misunderstands!

@non8, thanks for answer :)
@rebmastu, I understnad you have your own life.
I don’t expect you drop everything to make new manga release.
I was curious how it all looks, and how many time people spends to edit one chapter.
I am grateful what you done! <3

@Melfra
If I could, I would edit the post I posted, so sorry about that…
I’m a high school senior myself. And a one woman scanlation group.
The timeframe I mentioned is from when I had a lot of time (I’m a sorta slacker, so duh) and desperately wanted to release a chapter.
Not everyone has a lot of time (or is a NEET ^^ or NE-T [NEET minus Education] lol) and I understand that.
I said “15 days” but I meant it as in “15 consecutive days without sleep and breaks”. Or 15~20 days of consecutive holidays.
I also understand that you work on several different series at time so that multiplies the time it takes by several-folds.

You guys are so weird! Haha talking about the release date, is like writing a story it takes time and patience and hard work. I check here everyday just because I like to see if they’ve moved to different step in the process. AndI’m 100% positive that all your readers are grateful and if they really enjoy a series they’ll wait whatever time frame necessary! I know I would! :)

So while we’re here, out of curiosity, does anyone ELSE feel the need to chip in their two cents or jump down the throats of these “fanatics” I have yet to see anywhere in this thread?
The topic is DEAD. One more person tries to necro with their “wisdom,” I delete the whole damn shot. Gdm people.

I just wanted to thank you. Thank you all for what you’ve done to make this manga available for everyone. It’s a really great job. Keep it up, please. :)
